Biography

Leveraging her background in chemistry and materials science, Denise Dantzler collaborates closely with clients to develop tailored patent strategies that address their unique needs and objectives. Denise’s practice focuses on U.S. and foreign patent matters in the areas of chemistry, materials science, biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products. She assists clients with all stages of the patent process—from providing patentability, freedom-to-operate, and non-infringement opinions to establishing robust patent coverage in the United States and foreign jurisdictions.

Before joining BoMc, Denise was an associate at an IP boutique firm in the Kansas City metropolitan area. During law school, she received the Samuel Mellinger Scholarship, Leadership, and Service Award and was the first woman of color to serve as the editor-in-chief of the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy, where she founded the publication’s online supplement. Denise also externed for Judge Julie Robinson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, and was a Shook Hardy & Bacon Scholar, a teaching assistant for lawyering skills classes, and an intellectual property research assistant. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Stanford University.
