On Tuesday, April 6, Bookoff McAndrews Partner, Les Bookoff, will discuss the pros and cons of filing for patents at the IP Strategy Patent Portfolio Development and Innovation Conference. The panel, which also includes Rebecca McNeill of McNeill Baur PLLC and Michael Lynn of Boston Scientific, will examine the business considerations for and against pursuing patents, including justifying patent costs, considering countries to file in, and exploring trade secrets protection as an alternative. The panel also will provide filing and prosecution strategies to add value and control cost and timing.
