AJ Sutton has been chosen to serve as Chair of the PTAB Bar Association Diversity Committee for the 2020-2021 term. He will lead the association’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the bar through recruitment and retention of diverse lawyers, agents, and law students, including diversity based on religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and age. “I am humbled to be in a position where I can inspire, empower, and advocate for diverse lawyers. And, I look forward to working with leadership to provide diversity-focused programming, foster constructive dialog with stakeholders, and give back to our local communities,” says AJ.

Resulting from the collaboration of 50 leading law firms, the PTAB Bar Association was formed in the wake of the American Invents Act (AIA) to improve the stature of the PTAB legal profession and to serve as an avenue for constructive dialogue between the bar community, the PTAB, and other stakeholders.
